Trying to sync photos to my iMac, for some reason it's trying to re-sync the entire library--more that 100,000 photos--to the cloud. It uploads a few and then gets stuck. How do I fix this?

Photos will need a lot of time (several days or even weeks) to sync such a large library again. Do not interrupt it may take even longer.
it is hard to tell, if Photos has go stuck, because Photos is not eating much time on updating the status bar regularly. It may look for hours like there were no progress.
While you are waiting you may want to check for problematic items in your Phots library.
Ok, it is moving, but very slowly. My big question is, why is it doing this? I didn’t change anything. So why does it think it needs to sync my entire library all over again? I should also say, this is only happening on my iMac, all my photos are available on both my iPhone and my iPad.
