Using Logic, which computer should I purchase s an upgrade? I currently have a 2015ish 27" imac 32gb ram, 3.2 ghz processer, 1.027tb memory. Running out of space and can't instal 10.8. Seems time to upgrade after 9 years.

This depends on your needs. Some could work fine on a MacBook Air, others need a fully-equipped Mac Pro... However, I think, 32 GB RAM is a minimum, and if make use of big sample libraries, you need more. And for CPU and GPU: Audio is not that demanding than video...

Running out of space

This is more a question of organizing workflows such as working on external hard drives than a question of buying a new computer.

can't instal 10.8.

You need at least MacOS 13.5 to install Logic 10.8.1. And a new version of Logic will come soon and might require a more recent MacOS.
