Which macOS upgrade for Final Cut Pro 10.6.4 on iMac?

That depends of you precise iMac model. See under Apple menu->about this Mac to get model number. With this info, you could find the latest supported Mac OS and Final Cut Pro app.

You can only upgrade Final Cut Pro to the current version, which is 12.0, and this version requires at least Sequoia 15.6 or later, or Tahoe. If your model of iMac cannot run such a version of macOS, you are in trouble. It used to be that Apple offered a version for the OS running on the user's machine, but now it only provides the current one (alas).

J’utilise Final Cut Pro 12.0 avec Sequoia sur un iMac 5k 2020, processeur i9 comet lake. Cette génération (la dernière avec un processeur Intel et il dépasse même le iMac Pro dans le single core ) possède une puce T2, ce qui permet d’utiliser le masque magnétique et certaine autres fonctions avancées. Par contre pas d’assistance IA pour ce modèle.

Toute ma suite d’édition vidéo incluant Motion, Compressor et Logic pro sont très fluides et je ne suis pas prêt de changer ma machine.

Je n’ai aucun intérêt de monter à Tahoe puis qu’aucune possibilité d’IA et le look liquid Glass n’est pas à mon goût.

I use Final Cut Pro 12.0 with Sequoia on a 2020 5K iMac, i9 processor. This generation (the last with an Intel processor; it even surpasses the iMac Pro in single-core performance) has a T2 chip, which allows the use of magnetic masking and certain other advanced features. However, there's no AI assistance for this model.

My entire video editing suite, including Motion, Compressor, and Logic Pro, runs very smoothly, and I'm not about to change my machine.

I have no interest in editing on Tahoe since it lacks AI capabilities and the liquid glass look isn't to my liking.

Laquelle, s'il vous plaît? Votre iMac étant compatible avec Tahoe, je crois que cette mise à jour (ou alors du moin jusqu'a Sequoia) vous permettrait tous simplement utiliser la version courante de FCP.
