It is NOT possible to install or use Touch ID on an iPhone 11. The iPhone 11 is a Face ID based iPhone and therefore has modules for Face ID only. There is no provision for Touch ID on an iPhone 11.

It appears that Apple switched from Touch ID to Face ID with the introduction of the iPhone X. This MacWorld article is old enough that it does not list the 13, 14, and 15 series phones – but I believe they are in the Face ID camp.

The only newer iPhones that still have Touch ID, are the iPhone SE series.
