Sharing IMAC screen with Macbook Pro

I'd like to share my IMAC 2008 screen with my Macbook Pro 2015. They have two different OS because IMAC can't be updated from X El Capitan. Any suggestions on how I might do this?

The 2008 iMac can not be used as a wired display for another computer or device.

If the 2008 is fully functional you can use Screen Share over you local network.
