Does anyone else know your Passcode?

If you allow anyone to access your device with your passcode, then they are authorized to make purchases. Change your passcode if anyone else knows it. All transactions are protected from unauthorized charges by requiring biometrics or Passcode for authentication. Contact Apple directly to see more information about the transaction. They will be able to tell you whether the transaction was validated with Face ID/ Touch ID or Passcode.

Review these 3 documents to see if you have given permission for other members of your Family plan to use your payment method to send money or for purchase. One is using Apple Cash for members in your family and the other is for how to turn off/on Purchase Sharing that allows others to use your card. You can also use the Ask To Buy feature to authorize any transactions from other members of your family plan.

Is it possible that your daughter or child has accidentally charged a large purchase?

If you’ve enabled Purchase Sharing it’s possible that you’re paying for other members of the Apple Family Sharing Group you’re the organizer of.
