Just got a HomePod and want to stream a local NPR station to use as an alarm. I don't seem to be able to access any radio stations from Choose Media/Apple Music from the HOME app

If you have an Apple Music subscription, check to see if your NPR station is on Apple Music.
If so, then just select that station when setting up your alarm.
If not, then other media apps are not compatible with HomePod's alarm feature.
