I washed my hands and was preparing to put my macbook (closed) in its case/bag when i got some water on the outside hinge because my hands weren't fully dried yet. I already wiped off all the visible water and dried it, but could the water already have gotten into the system? not sure if the hinge has an opening or entryway into the macbook system.
theres no noticeable problems right now, but if water did get into my macbook system, when can i expect to see the issues appear? should i take my mac to a repair shop just in case?
ps i got the water on the middle of the hinge, so it wasn't on the little bars on the side.
It is impossible to speculate. It sounds unlikely from what you say that there is water damage..
If it were me I would not take it in in unless I had an issue...
If you are in doubt —Take it in. Logic Boards are not repaired they are replaced.

If you have AppleCare+ it will cover a large portion of accidental damage.
