Unable to send messages to android phone after recent iOS update

Has anyone else noticed any issues sending or receiving text messages from android phones after the recent iOS update? I’ve tried rebooting my phone turning airplane mode on and off I have even reset my entire phone and even reset the network nothing is working and Apple can’t seem to figure it out this is not the first time this issue has happened with Apple but usually correct itself after resetting but this time it didn’t. Dose anyone have any advice on how to correct this issue?
