iPhone 14 Pro Max iOS 18 Update- Suddenly unable to send MMS or RCS messages to Android phones but can receive them (October 2024)

PROBLEM: iPhone 14 Pro Max iOS 18 Update- Suddenly unable to send MMS or RCS messages to Android phones but can receive them (October 2024). I can send and receive all message types from apple users.

Troubleshooting has been done to the extent of resetting my phones network settings, toggling settings on and off (like turning RCS off) and yet it’s still a problem.

The android users were advised through an update on their end that a messaging app they were using would be shut down by November so they switched to the current app allowing them to send/receive RCS messages. However my iPhone all of a sudden will NOT send ANY type of message to an android based phone 😑.

Is there a newer iOS update coming to fix this problem I didn’t have until iOS update was pushed?

I need assistance where possible but I’ve troubleshooted for days so I need something more solid & definite please.

The iOS 18.1 update just went through and now my phone is sending messages again. As much as I wanted it to be Verizon, because they’ve made me frustrated in the past, it appears this was an Apple rooted software issue for my specific problem. Post iOS 18.1 update, my issues are resolved 🙌🏽.

Thanks for your support and willingness to assist! I greatly appreciate it.

SMS is your phone carrier feature, which you pay them a monthly service to, not an Apple or ios issue.
