Missing option to sync iPhone over wifi in Windows 11 Apple Devices app

I installed the Apple Devices app from the Windows 11 Microsoft Store to create a local backup. In contrast to iTunes on my old Windows 10 computer, the Apple Devices app doesn't offer to synchronize my iPhone over wifi, which was a very handy feature. Creating an initial backup over USB didn't change this.
