iMac 24 fails to recognise audio interface with 2 mics

I have a Citronic U-pad 2 channels. I can get power to it from the iMac (Sonoma 14.4.1) via the USB cable, but it refuses to recognise the device. Not there in System Sounds, and not there in the Audio MIDI utility.

I can get the device recognised in my elderly Macbook Pro (Catalina), but not the mics. I've checked the cables and connections at both ends. Nothing showing up. Can anyone advise me please?

Tough to argue with “Compliant Midi USB devices are OS agnostic”

…still, assuming that piece of head-scratching mini word salad means something (doesn’t in the Apple world), the Citronic spec doesn’t even mention MIDI. Not even Windows.

So no matter how one looks at it, I’d say the next adventure around corner is getting djshop to cough OP’s money back. Based on reviews, lots of nerve-wracking thrills yet to come hohoho.

Anyways, thanks for chirping in! 🍻

Thank you. I contacted the manufacturer, who responded thus: "The unit is just a generic soundcard, there may be a problem with your drivers, I would try using it on another computer to make sure the U-pad isn't faulty."

That's why I checked it with the MacBook Pro. But he does mention 'drivers'. There is nothing about drivers on either their website, or in the manual.
