Messages from Android users are NOT syncing across Mac desktop

I have a few friends, family members and business customers who are Android users. I get their messages on my iPhone but not on my 23" iMac desktop. It's causing problems if I don't have my phone nearby.

For some people I will receive their message on my iMac but I cannot respond to them on it.

I've tried syncing and unsyncing. Is there anything else I can do about it? It worked at one point.

You need to enable Text Message forwarding from your iPhone. Both devices need to be logged into the same Apple ID. On the phone, go to Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding and select your Mac.
