There is an alert on my iPhone (12 Pro Max) about a problem with my Apple Pay using PayPal and/or Visa Debit. There is no record at PayPal or at my bank so what is going on?
I attach 2 pics to illustrate the issue. This started right after tha latest update to iOS.

I didn't really but I just wanted to avoid the more mouthy people here to have food for insulting behaviour.
Apple Support finally admitted that 17.5 had tightened up payment methods and security and that I should just be patient and wait until I have around $30 credit in my form of payment. Then the system should give the all clear.
FYI: That is NOT Apple Pay. The payment method registered to your Apple ID for the App Store and in app purchases and Apple Pay are two different things.

Footnote: It returned today. I spent hours on the phone to Apple Support and then PayPal Support the they are blaming iOS 17.5 fir the problem as nothing has changed at their end. They suggest waiting for a few days.
How did you solve? I have been trying to use Apple Pay via a PayPal site and the payment doesn't go through. It keeps asking me to update my address information when the ApplePay has both a shipping address and a billing address.
