Follow the steps in the link provided above to restart the iPhone. It does not require access to the iPhone. Only to press the physical buttons on the outside of the device in a particular sequence.

When iPhone is stuck, you can force restart it so that it returns to a responsive state.

Follow the following steps:

On your iPhone 8 or later, including iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation)

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo (this takes around 10 seconds).

Then, delete the update from your iPhone using the following steps:

  1. Open Settings > General > iPhone Storage
  2. Find the update in the list of items that use storage on your iPhone. It will be titled by the version of the update (e.g. "iOS 17.5").
  3. Click on the update. Then select "Delete" and confirm the deletion.
  4. Restart your iPhone as you normally would (press and hold the Side Button and one of the Volume keys concurrently, then Slide To Power Off).
  5. Once iPhone restarts, try downloading and installing the update again.

Restart the iPhone. If that is not working, please delete the update file and try to install the update again

  1. Go to Settings > General > [Device name] Storage.
  2. Find the update in the list of apps.
  3. Tap the update, then tap Delete Update.
  4. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and download the latest update.
