how to change default email address in iPad OS 17?

Hi, how do I change the default email address (for sending emails from) on my iPad? I have multiple email addresses and when Mail sends new emails I have to manually go into each new email I send and change the from email address (tedious). There is no option in iPad OS 17 to change the default email sending address - that I can see. Seems odd that they have removed the default email option. Any ideas? iPadOS 17.5, iPad Pro 13 M4

Like Whitlam75 said, I changed the default account on Settings and there the account I want is selected, but, when I open the Mail app and start composing a new email, the account is not the default one, it’s a different account each time (and, interestingly, never the default one).

I’m using iOS 17.5.1.

Hi - thanks for that. Eventually found it. Tried it, didn't work. It changed the default email account in the settings, but when i went to send a new email, still had the old from email address! Tried a few times, turned the iPad on / off, opened closed the mail app etc, still sends from the old email address, but the Default setting has the one I want to send it from. I'd say this setting is broken in OS 17. Thanks for your help
