Unable to allow app tracking on my iPhone 13

Talked to Apple tech. This is a common problem. The only fix is to go to media and purchases in settings and turn it off. Worked like a charm. They said they are working on it to fix it permanently but this is a work around that works for now

Settings, then click Apple ID, then click on media & purchases, then sign out of media & purchases. You might have to restart your phone afterwards.

Similar problems happening to many apple device users. I was on with Apple support a few times yesterday (May 16, 2024) and they attributed the issue to a problem on Apple’s side related to a server issue, and to be patient as they resolve the problem.

1. Is this your corporate iPhone? Then please contact the system administrator of your corporate
2. If it is your personal device, in that case, do you have any profile installed by your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management?
   1. Erase the profile added by you If you have installed a profile on your own --> Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple ...
   2. Or please contact the system administrator of the organisation who provided the profile to you

It seems to be an Apple server issue. I did nothing and mine is working again. Be patient. It may take awhile before it works for everyone.

Thanks for the temporary fix. To sign out media and purchases worked for me. Actually this sounds better than signing out the apple id itself every time I need to allow the app track. Now I can’t install/update apps but I can sign in back when I need anyway.

Me too! iPhone 12 Pro Max. I called apple last night. They had me log out of my Apple ID and it still didn't work. So she had me reset the settings and it works BUT every time I go into an app and the notification pops up asking if it want to allow notifications. The tracking option goes grey again. So every time I play my games on fetch. I have to reset my settings !!

I think it’s something that’s happening with a lot of people so think it’s an apple issue. I was googling this because I had the same issues today but it seems like it’s doing the same issue with everyone here too. Same issue claiming my age isn’t on my account. When it’s been on my account for over 10+ years

iPhone 12 user here and I’m having the same issue. And the only fix I know is to sign out of your Apple ID if you want to allow an app to track. I need my Fetch app to track in order to collect points via games. Apple needs to fix this issue because I don’t want to keep having to sign out of my Apple ID in order to allow an app to track. This is ridiculous.

Now that Apple has fixed the back-end issue, tracking works fine even if you're signed in.

We have the same issue. Our app requires tracking, and none of our customers can use our app right now. All happened overnight.

Tracking was disabled on my iPad, but it was active this morning. My Apple account clearly has my birthday set, but says it cannot verify my age.

Thanks for the screenshots, but this did not work for me. When I got to the Allow Changes screen, it was already checked. I unchecked, then re-allowed, however the individual apps were still grayed out. Also Still have the age error issue as mentioned in the other posts.

I’m glad I’m not the only one with this issue. Literally happened overnight and it says the same thing. How is it gonna be that I’m not old enough after bunch of years with the same Apple ID? Is so frustrating tho. Hopefully it gets fixed quick.
