Restore old iPad back-up

I had an iPad ca 15yrs but it was stolen, and now I bought a new one. But I can't find the back-up of the old iPad in iCloud. Although I have seen it ca 8yrs ago when I logged in with my Apple ID via someone else his iPad, then I could restore it.

How can I know if back-up of my iPad is still saved (and available)? or if it is lost?

iPad, iPadOS 15

Presumably you refer to an iCloud backup.

iCloud backups will persist as long as they are periodically refreshed by the associated device. However, if a device ceases to perform periodic refresh of its iCloud backup, the device-specific backup will even eventually be automatically purged from iCloud storage to free cloud storage.

A further possibility is that you manually disabled iCloud backups from device settings. Doing so will also result in the associated backup being automatically deleted from iCloud storage.
