Running Catalina. I want to buy and format a Seagate One Touch 2TB External Hard Drive Slim Portable HDD USB 3.0 / USB 2.0. Will a MBPro 2012 format this drive with no problem?
I ask because earlier this year I tried formatting an empty partition from the boot partition on a MBPro 2012 and it rendered the empty partition unreadable. I don’t understand how that could happen, so I don’t know what to expect.
