Podcast Episodes not getting updated with new feed

I recently updated my feed url. Some things were updated after the feed was updated and then it stopped.

Here is the url to the podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/all-classes/id1092920184

Here is the rss feed url: https://portal.theyeshiva.net/api/itunes/podcasts/33

It works in spotify and updated, not sure what the issue is here.

Any insights would be appreciated.

It wouls seem that you've updated your podcast by removing a couple of episodes with titles and descriptions in Hebrew after 17 April, and added a couple more dated 7th, 13th , and 14th May. These amendments appear to have been uploaded only today.

When you subscribed on a Mac - where the feed is read directly and Apple is not involved - the episodes match the actual feed, as I've described.

In Podcasts 'Browse', which reads Apple Podcasts/iTunes Store, the episodes match those in the web preview you linked to. I gather that iPhones don't read the feed directly.

The feed itself validates - there are some minor errors, plus four very old episodes with spaces in the URLs (this is not allowed) which presumably don't play. The categories you've chosen don't match those specified by Apple - see https://podcasters.apple.com/support/1691-apple-podcasts-categories

Basically, the updates you've made were only just submitted, and it can take a couple of days for Apple Podcasts/iTunes Store to catch up. It's likely that it will do so in a day or two: this is quite normal. Apple caches the feeds - there are thousands of them - and visits them in some sort of rotation, so how long it takes to update depends on where you are in the cycle when you post.

You should be aware, should it matter, that removing episodes does not remove them for people who have subscribed and downloaded them on a Mac.

Two validators I tried were happy with the feed. However, the third, CastFeedValidator, got a 'forbidden' notice and couldn't read the feed. This notice would normally affect everyone (it can occur, for example, when you try to read a directory when that hasn't been allowed) so I have no idea why that's happening or whether it's relevant.

More to the point, Apple Podcasts is plainly not updating: this is uncommon but not unknown. Contact Podcasts Support and ask them to refresh the feed. https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/contact-us

Finally the feed updated. I'm not sure exactly what did it. As you pointed out, the CastFeedValidator got a 403 Forbidden. We discovered that our Cloudflare bot fight technology was blocking it, which we disabled completely from the site. CastFeedValidator then identified a minor issue (that the other validators did not catch) so we fixed that too and we also requested another refresh from Apple Podcast support (which they probably didn't do) so if anyone else finds themself in this frustrating situation, definitely check Cloudflare and make sure it is bypassed on podcast feeds. Thanks for your help!
