Common sense says you are not blowing air into anything, you are using the compressed air like a brush across the holes at a steep angle in an effort to lift the debris out...

Do you know what kind of material is blocking the holes?

In the image it appears the same particulate matter is loose on the keyboard as well as on the reddish surface on which the computer is sitting.
