How do I open a Unix Executable File?

I have a group of image files that I am unable to open (see screenshot below). The Get Info states that the file Kind is:

Unix Executable File.

I have attempted to import these files into the Photos App on my Mac but I get this response:

Unsupported File Type.

I have also to tried to change the file format by adding .jpeg and .pdf to the file name. That does not work either.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I'll second Yer_Man's suggestion of GraphicConverter; it's great for all kinds of things. But I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. If they don't have a suffix, they may be from a time when Macs thought such things weren't necessary, and they might even be compressed or encrypted by some long forgotten process.

On thing about GraphicConverter-- the support is amazing. If it doesn't work, I'd suggest using their Help feature--you'll probably get a response from Thorsten Lemke, the author.

Then these files may indeed be corrupted. That said, as a last go, I'd download Graphic Converter

Which is a great utility for image apps, and it will open just about anything. There's a generous free trial period (though I do recommend purchase) that will allow you to see if it can make anything of these items.
