Snapping to bars when importing a sample.

When i move samples around in the workspace, snapping to the grid works correctly. And when i drag & drop samples into the workspace from a finder, for example, the sample is linked specifically to the bars. How to disable snapping to bars when i drag & drop a sample?

Ok, I dug a little deeper and think this might help.

Go to your project settings. And go to Smart Tempo page. Make sure the Set Imported Files to: is selected to OFF. See pic.

It should not make a difference when you drag and drop a sample to a track how the region is snapped. You can select how you want that to work in the SNAP menu. On your video you have snapped turned off so it looks like you're able to drop and move the sample anywhere on the track. Pull down the menu and select how you want things to snap. Smart is pretty handy. Also at the bottom of the menu, select absolute value. This makes sure things snap right on the spot.
