use icloud keychain without an iphone passcode

To use my new Apple TV, it requires that I set up Icloud keychain and that requires an iphone passcode. Necessary for full functionality. I really dont like having to use a pass code to turn on my phone everytime. It defeats the purpose of having saving time. Or can I just set up Icould keychain with a passcode and later delete the passcode?

I hate the fact that Apple dictates the security level that WE want for OUR risks. That should NOT be something forced on us.

It appears that you have iPhone 13 Pro Max. I recommend that you use Face ID which is much faster to unlock your iPhone and get to the Home Screen. NOTE: Setting up Face ID will still require you to have a passcode setup.

Now to answer your question, You can remove the passcode later after you setup iCloud Keychain, however, you will lose the iCloud Keychain and other functions that depend on passcode / Face ID security.
