WhatsApp not receiving messages

My wife´s phone does not receive any message in WhatsApp until opening the app. Tried all the suggestions provided here and in threads in other Apple users´ communities, from checking and resetting notifications, reinstalling WhatsApp, to a complete restore of IOS from Apple Devices App running on a Windows PC to no avail. Her phone is an iPhone 14 Pro with 128 GB RAM, IOS 17.5
