I have lost the deleted email box in the migration from big Sur to the new OS how do I get a deleted bin back .... I use this to retrieve emails I didn't mean to delete. All deletes are set to be removed after 30 days but I cant find them before the 30 days are up.

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?
Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;
• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed
• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)
• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically
• Disables user-installed fonts
• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.
All you can do is login to your WebMail in a browser & see if they are there, oerhaps in All Mail if you have that there.
Thank you for your answer I can see that it should work ** it doesn't work for me.Every time I go any where near the + it disappears ..... so it is impossible to add ... I just want "all trash"
under favourites ... that way if I click delete by mistake I can just go to the one box to retrieve it, instead of having to check them all. Do you have any idea what is going on ... it is quite frustrating!

I think there is something weird going o with my mail ..... I tried this and the + sign kept disappearing .... I tried again later and it worked .... now all inbox missing and I cant get it back because the + sign keeps disappearing again! I am feeling quite spooked by this I cant figure it out at all!
I am away for a week now but do you have any ideas what is happening??
Is this in the Favorites section at the top of Mails sidebar? If so do what I did to add VIPs to favorites:
