WatchOS 10.5 and Ultra
The latest update is consuming battery at an incredible rate. The prior version was viable for the rated duration, if not more. Battery health reveals 100%. Whatever changed is highly detrimental as battery life at current consumption rate has reduced by 37% after twelve (12) hours with virtually no use (always on is even turned off). Can't imagine the watch making it through an entire day with any sort of actual use with the 10.5 update. The advent of the Ultra and it's battery lifespan - averted moving to a 3rd party solution. A watch that cannot make it through 24+ hours without a charge isn't viable for an interesting portion of the user base. Ecosystem and/or integration doesn't matter if the watch's battery dies or is unable to operate for long periods without being periodically charged.
What's particularly bothersome is that at least with a phone you can obtain the list of applications that are consuming battery by activity. There appears to be no such counterpart for the watch - why?
The premise of unpair/reset and re-pair is time consuming for the user. These devices are supposed to be a benefit to make things easier, not more difficult. If there are concerns that the upgrade may have issues unless this is performed, why isn't there a "post upgrade" component that automatically performs this function (or similar) to ensure stable state?
