Charging while Updating IOS

I’ve heard that it is highly recommended to plug in my iPhone to charger while updating IOS, is that correct or not necessary at all

Depends on how much charge your battery has.

iOS updates won’t install if battery below 50% charged.

outside of that it really doesn’t matter.
