4g signal restarts infinitely

Hey friends,

I am currently visiting Romania for a long time and I bought a Voda phone sim for my iPad .

When inserting it into my iPhone everything works fine - no issues at all But! When I insert it into my iPad Cellular signal keeps restarting..

****my iPad is Pro 2021 , MHW63RK/A . Never had connectivity issue before.****

i went to voda phone branch and they tried to change apn setting etc , nothing worked

Unfortunately, Can’t add here a video of the issue , but the 4g signal appears and disappears infinitely…

any ideas?

The majority of mobile phone SIMs are not correctly provisioned for use with tablet computers. If they work at all, they may not provide access to the full range of cellular services. This is not a limitation of the iPad, but of the Cellular network provider.

If using a physical SIM with iPad, you will require a DataSIM explicitly provisioned for iPad or mobile broadband (a.k.a. MiFi).

Be aware that an iPad, whether a Cellular model or not, is not capable of directly accessing Cellular Voice or SMS/MMS Messaging features. An iPad with either WiFi or Cellular connectivity alone can only access IP-data services. If you have added a DataSIM and Cellular plan to a WiFi+Cellular model of iPad, the number associated with the SIM card is only used to identify your account for billing purposes. This number is not used for making calls or sending messages.

First of all, thank you for your detailed response. Much appreciated.

When I visited Vodafone’s branch I brought my iPad with me and the representative knew that the purpose of my visit is to add for my plan a sim dedicated for my iPad . He activated a service which called “one number” which connects multiple devices into my same account , maybe he didn’t knew what he needs to do or something but I also tried connecting an eSIM using the same service with the same issue - 4g signal keep restarting..

so I am wondering if they just don’t set my sim properly and that is the reason for this or I have an issue with my iPad or maybe I set it incorrect ?
