How to see which music in my library comes from iTunes Match

I've subscribed to iTunes Match since the old days when I uploaded a bunch of CDs to the cloud. But now I realize it may not be necessary to subscribe anymore with Apple Music around. Still, I'm concerned that some of my more unique CDs might not be on there. How can I see what music I uploaded to iTunes Match?

Hi,

  1. Yes as both subscriptions use the same iCloud music library.
  2. whilst Apple Music/ iTunes library are not backup services, you can download your music. The format will be 256 Kbps AAC for matched. Uploaded will be as uploaded except lossless will have been transcribed to 256 Kbps AAC. Make sure the download settings are to AAC.

Jim,

Thanks. Now I feel dumb as I have been paying for both. Two follow-up questions.

  1. If I were to discontinue Apple Music, if I resubscribed to iTunes Match before it elapsed, would I retain access to my uploaded music?
  2. My original music backups were lost to a bad hard drive. Can I somehow download them via Apple Music to regain that backup?
