There are no notifications from apps on my iPhone after update

Hello shaker104, Did you check your Notifications in Settings?

Settings > Notifications > Notification Style and then the app you want to check. If that looks good then;

Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, Click > Slide ON > Under Allow Changes To: check "Background App Activity" is set to "Allow".

If the above looks good then sometimes a Simple Shut Down for a minute and Reboot will clear things up.

Me too!! It only happens with WhatsApp, a solution I found was to disable the update in the background. But no correction so far.

Same issue, iPhone Xs, iOS 17.5.1

Restarts, force restarts, app reinstalls, cache clearings etc I’ve already tried. Settings are default, nothing is disabled. It’s surely an OS error.

One app printed out more context: AppError.APP_PUSH_TOKEN_MISSING (but I get no notifications from any app including Apple’s, so it’s not an app error).

I have a similar but opposite issue. After updating to 17.5.1 my focus filters no longer work (they’re letting through notifications from blocked apps in the focus setting). So something must have gotten screwed up with notification permissions in general this update.

I have the same issue after the update, but also my phone goes straight to voicemail when people call me, does not let me know to answer it and the people calling says it does not even ring. All notifications on all apps will not work, and imessage app does not even have the little numbers saying how many messages if any you have, I have to open the app to see if anyone has messaged me. I have checked the notification settings, nothing changed, its all turned on and I have shut down and re-started several times over the last few days, and when my phone re-starts it does not go through the process it usually does when it shuts down and acts like it just went to sleep, not shut down. UGH I am beyond frustrated and hope they come out with a FIX quick!!!

Exactly the same issue. Works when I have my Apple Watch on me but if it’s locked and charging. I even get the banner and I turned on the led light to flash as the notifications are silenced.

since I put my phone down screen side up I miss the flash!

wth did Apple change in what was a short update from 17.4.1. Only 300mb for me to download and install it.

bug fixes introduced more bugs.

Any workaround for this issue? It is major bug and my phone is useless without being able to receive not only messages but critical alerts from apps I have installed?

If I have to reinstall all apps I need I prefer to do it on another brand…

Tried all these steps

1. Force restart
2. DIsabled focus mode
3. Notifications are enabled in both device and in app settings
4. Disabled summary notifications.
5. Tried sending notification from pusher tool, that also is not showing up in the center.

What could be the reason and a possible solution?

Did anyone find a fix for the notifications bug?

For me mostly happens with WhatsApp on iPhone 13. Sometimes the notifications doesn't come when the phone is on lock screen, only the red dot on the app. I have tried EVERYTHING and the problem persists.

Started with IOS 17.4 and still now with IOS 17.6.

I have also an iPhone 11 and it works just fine. Both phones have the same settings.

I have a similar issue with my 13 Pro Max. I updated to the 17.5.1 this morning and now I receive texts on my watch but not my phone?

My iphone 11 start to restart itself since I updated to iOS 17.5.1 last night... And due to this I have even reset it but still behaving the same please any solution?

Same. What's wierd is the message will appear in the preview section on the left sidebar, but not when clicked on. I've tried everything I know to fix this.

Same or when I open messages

It crashes or when I go into the messenger settings through the settings app it crashes
