i15+ ios 17.5. every time I download a free app, I double click the side button and faceID appears and I get a "chime/sound". This is announcing to everyone I am downloading apps. Not something I want "pinging away".
I have turned off notifications in app store everywhere I could think of.
What am I missing

This is less of a notification, and more of a conformation that you’ve authenticated. If you want to disable it, turn off your ringer, authenticate, then turn it on.
you would think with IOS 17, there would be options, not taking a sledgehammer to put in a thumbtack! But, if that is how it works, so be it.
I don’t believe you can shut it off. Try turning off ringer then turn it on after you installed the app(s).
Can I stop the chime when installing an app?
