Bank statements can’t download to a format compatible to iPad???

Just download the excel file.

Numbers can open excel files, then you can modify it with Numbers.

Worst case your bank will give you an excel file version the is not compatible with Numbers, but normally it will work.

The Santander bank should offer the download in the xlsx Excel format instead of the older xls Excel format.

Ask the bank to change the Excel format.

All formats that you name isn't an Apple product, you would need to download said app(s).

same simple task wouldn't work on a Windows pc if you didn't have any of those software installed.
