Apple TV stopped loading shows

All shows stop loading on my Apple TV app that is installed on my TV through Roku. It was fine and then it wasn’t. My Samsung TV is older and not a smart TV. All of my other apps like Amazon prime and Netflix are working fine. I’ve tried restarting the app I tried deleting the app and reinstalling. I am unable to even sign in from the TV in the AppleTV app.

I checked my network and all is running well.

Another user (mygreensocks) suggested this procedure from Roku Support staff, which reportedly helped several users.

  1. Remove the Apple TV app,
  2. Shut off and unplug the TV (or streaming device),
  3. Wait 30 seconds,
  4. Plug the TV (or streaming device) back in,
  5. Reload the Apple TV app.


Else try the Network Connection Reset, as mentioned by user Jarieta.
