Unable to View Apple Music in my Music app on Mac

Hello everyone,

I am unable to view Apple Music in my Music app on Mac. This is me trying to open Apple Music for the first time on the Music app as I have mostly used Spotify until now. My country/region is set to United States and I have tried the following two approaches but neither worked out. Here are the two approaches I tried:

Go to Account > Join Apple Music...
Go to Music (top left corner of the screen) > Settings > Checking Apple Music.

Can someone please help me out with setting up Apple Music on my Mac?

However, you don't need a monthly subscription if you want to purchase music from the iTunes Sore or rip music from a CD. When you first start using the Apple Music app on your Mac, you begin with an empty library. Build your collection of songs and albums in a number of ways. See:
