Why is the music on my iPhone 13 Pro not playing on CarPlay?

The music that I have on my iPhone 13 Pro will no longer play on CarPlay on my 2020 Toyota Rav 4. Everything else works great. I have tried forgetting the phone and pairing again. That didn’t work. I’ve tried using split screen on CarPlay but that didn’t work either. I was actually listening to my music on CarPlay when it just quit. There is no sound. The music shows that it’s playing but there is no sound. Any ideas out there?

Here are some things you might have already checked, but in case you haven’t:

lint in the charger port
try a different usb cable
try someone else’s iPhone
update software
confirm Bluetooth works and can play music

I have a Toyota Sienta. The only problems I’ve had so far have been related to music suddenly not being available in my region or a loose cord connection…

Is it possible that your phone is trying to connect to some flaky public wifi?
