I am not able to edit the Reminder widget on my iPad Pro M4 running 17.5.1

Hello, I recently purchased the m4 iPad Pro and am trying to set up the reminders widget. I tap and hold on the widget to edit but only get option to edit Home Screen and remove widget. Widget shows blank and I would like to add my list to check off from Home Screen. I checked all of my settings and they seem to be correct. I have the 2018 iPad Pro and the same operating system and I have options to edit widget and select list I want. Does anyone know how to fix this?
