Apple ID password reset issues

I have been trying for weeks to reset my Apple ID password and have had no luck. I have gotten emails saying that I would get a call or text at a certain time but that never happens I feel like I’m in a perpetual reset cycle with no way to reset. Can someone help me with this? I’m ready to set up a whole new Apple Is this shouldn’t be this hard.

also one issue I noticed is when I’m the password reset process it asks me for my phone passcode I enter it and then it says it’s wrong. Well that’s not possible because I use it to log in my phone multiple times per day I even tried switching the device but it still says it’s wrong.

someone please help!!

Is this the case?

  • If you submitted your account recovery request with iforgot.apple.com through your device's browser, you should avoid using that device during this period. Using that device might cancel account recovery.
  • To avoid delays, turn off other devices that are signed in with your Apple ID until account recovery is complete.

Ok so when you go through account recovery-- it says it's going to send the reset instructions to text or call on a specific time/.date- if you don't get those instructions through text or a phone call you can go back to iforgot.apple.com on that date and it will have the same instructions it would have sent.

It will ask for your Apple ID, then trusted number, then it will give you the instructions it would have sent.

Managed Apple IDs for Apple devices - Apple Support (CA)

Apple really doesn't like having people change their ID as I have read over the years. You have to have a real good reason to.

Apple has no problem with people changing their Apple ID password. And, they have not problem with people changing the email they use for their Apple ID. You don't need a reason for either.

Also, the article you linked to is about devices that are managed by a school or company. Things work very differently in this circumstances.
