ordered an Apple credit card about two weeks ago. got a notice to go to wallet for digital credit card BUT had to have a log in on the phone. I don't have one and have never had one- don't ask me to explain, that's just my approach. I want the physical credit card- nothing in the mail and no email or text or anything saying it is coming. Is this a normal wait time....???

If you don’t have an iPhone you should probably consider canceling the Apple Card as it will be of limited use without an iPhone. Your transactions can only be viewed on the iPhone. Your monthly statements come via iPhone. You make payments on the iPhone. There is a very, very basic website for the Apple Card that is not at all like a typical credit card website. On the website you can download a statement or make a payment, that’s all.
The physical card also does not have any account information on it. No account number, no expiration date, no CCV security code, nothing except your name. You get that information on your iPhone.

The terms and conditions specifically state you have to have an eligible Apple Device ( iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch) to receive the Mastercard. If you don’t have an eligible device, you have an Apple Store account you can use at Apple.com/store or an Apple Retail Store.

I have no "passcode" on my Iphone and never have. Have had the cell phone number over 35 years with no issues in this regard. Looks like "NO passcode"- "No apple credit card..." ??
You are correct. As a matter of security you are required to protect yourself whether you want to or not.
