Frequent crash Mac mini M2 Pro

I've just bought my new Mac mini with the M2 Pro chip. I've hooked it up to my Studio display , Logitech keyboard and mouse. Nothing too fancy. Today I've experienced random crashes, about 5-6 times. My first thought was to do a hardware test (reboot, use the control-D thing, run the hardware test). No issues. Then I decided to do a full reset of the machine. That didn't fix it either. I wasn't smart enough to save an error log, but I did notice several people on the forum complain about similar issues.

I was wondering if we've figured out what is going on yet, and what to do about it. For reference, this happens when I'm using the mini normally (whatsapp, browsing, editing a spreadsheet).

Did you install any anti-virus, so-called "cleaning" app,s or a client-side VPN?

If you want a data-driven evaluation in this setting where we can neither see nor touch your computer, please post an EtreCheck report. We can quickly and within the limitations of these forums help you determine what issues are at play without our playing a protracted game of "20 Questions" with you that could go on for days.

EtreCheck Pro is available here:

The free version will do nicely for this purpose, although the app is worthy of our financial support.

We can see hard data about drive performance, software issues and interferences, and RAM usage. Etrecheck is the development of a long-serving and trusted ASC contributor. It is a reporting app, not a "fix-it” app, expressly for displaying information in these forums to help us help you remotely. It will not reveal any personal or secure information.

Please see this excellent user tip on how to post long text reports like EtreCheck's into a forum response:

It appears you have some sort of touch screen device:

WingCool Inc. - TouchScreen

Remove it and any drivers and see if the kernel panics continue.

The fact that the kernel panics happen and a different operation is taking place each time it happens tends to indicate that it is not a specific app that is the cause. It could be some driver or background processes that is causing a conflict. Try the above as a starting point and go from there.
