Regrettably, your iMac cannot be upgraded past macOS Catalina.
If you'd like to use a newer version of macOS, you'd need a newer Mac. The current release of macOS, macOS Sonoma, is compatible with the Macs listed here: macOS Sonoma is compatible with these computers - Apple Support.
