USB-C hub disconnecting when macbook goes into sleep.

Hello, I recently bought a macbook air m2 and when I plugged in my USB-C hub and ethernet cable into it, it was all fine but when I left the mac and it went into sleep/started screen saver or I closed it and opened later I saw that my internet wasn't working and that was because the USB-C hub disconnected and I needed to plug it out and in again and it worked. But the problem keeps reappearing everytime the macbook goes into sleep. I tried plugging in USB-C flashdrive and it did not disconnect like the hub so I was wondering are there any settings I can change so it doesn't happen? Or is it because I cheaped out on the hub? Did anyone else have this problem? Did changing the hub solve it? Also once I got a notification that "usb accessories disabled unplug the accessory using too much power" maybe that has something to do with it?

Thanks for the info!

It's possible that the hub may not be compatible with Mac and isn't receiving power correctly in sleep mode.

A different dock, such as the OWC USB-C Travel Dock E - OWC, should be a reliable option for your Mac. It has two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, an HDMI port, an SD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, and power passthrough.

Hi Jack, thanks for replying. Honestly I don't know the model of the hub it's just some cheapie I found on aliexpress honestly it could be that that's what is causing the issue but I know tons of people that use adapters from aliexpress and have no problems. And oh yeah, it gets power from the mac it doesn't have any external power adapter.
