Can I use a 2012 magsafe charging cable on a 2020 macbook air M1

I have an old 17 inch Macbook Pro which has a magsafe charing cable. Can I use the same cable to charge a Macbook air 2020 MI?

Hey there!

Regrettably, no. The MacBook Air (M1, 2020) doesn't use a MagSafe connector for charging. It has Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports that support charging.

If you need a new charger for your MacBook Air (M1, 2020), you can use the 240W USB-C Charge Cable (2 m) - Apple, and pair it with an Apple power adapter:

Hope this helps!
