Migration has caused MacBook to be stuck in start up loop

using migration assistant I transferred data from my old MacBook Pro to my primary MacBook Pro. Old pro is late 2013 running big sur and new one is 2019.

it seems the migration was successful but now my newer primary MacBook Pro is stuck in a startup loop. I get a flash of a white screen then goes back to black and the Apple chime plays, just stuck in this loop.

Ive tried starting in safe mode, etc but nothing has worked

This article provides methods for entering recovery, and a smorgasbord of things you can do from there. The article is NOT ONE start-to-finish procedure, it is a collection of smaller procedures.

You select the one you want to accomplish, and use the procedure under that heading.

MacBook Pro after 2017 with intel processor featured the T2 chip. Earlier Macs do not.

you want to use Disk Utility to repair your disk.

If that does not fix everything, then you want to re-install MacOS (NOT Erase and install, at least not yet).

DON'T set a new firmware password. That is for Macs that hold military-grade secrets or owners subject to State-level intrusion attempts.
