AirPods Pro 2 Lightning case -> Type C

Hi. I have the AirPods Pro 2 with the lightning case and I want to buy a type c case (just the case). Am I going to have any issues with connectivity? Is this possible to happen?

You must set it up as replacement case:

  1. Put both AirPods in your charging case.
  2. Connect the case to power, close the lid, and wait 20 minutes.
  3. Open the lid and check the status light. It should flash amber.
  4. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for 15 seconds until the status light flashes white.
  5. Go to the Home Screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  6. Open the case—with your AirPods inside—and hold it next to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. A setup animation appears on your screen.
  7. Tap Connect, then tap Done.

Are you sure this is going to work? Because I went to an official reseller to buy the case and they told me it is not compatible with my AirPods. And it is in my own risk to buy the case. They said something like the AirPods Pro 2 with the lightning case are different from the ones with the type c case and that is the reason they will not pair. Has anyone done this so we can know for sure?
