Need to upgrade OS so that I can install Office Mac 365.
OS systems is currently Catalina. 8 Gb of Memory

Since Microsoft only officially supports new Office installations in Monterey, Ventura, and Sonoma, you might want to know if your Mac can upgrade to Monterey.

If your iMac is supported on Monterey, then there are some preliminary steps needed:
- Check that your printer/scanner vendor provides drivers explicitly for Monterey, or that your scanner is supported without vendor drivers by VueScan Professional (paid).
- Verify that no third-party applications have compatibility issues with Monterey.
- A last backup with Time Machine, and a new external backup drive (ideally an SSD) for all Monterey backups.
- Get the Monterey installer from How to download and install macOS - Apple Support. It would be a good idea to use the Safari browser for this retrieval.
