MacBook Pro external monitors

Hi all!

Recently was purchased my 1st MacBook but I use two extra monitors typically. So I have a usb-c dock (HP brand), I plug it into my MacBook Pro m3 pro and both monitors come on just fine but they mirror each other.

I can go into the display settings and it only shows 1 extra monitor, as if it doesn't recognize a 2nd extra monitor (although that monitor is on and just mirroring). The monitors are plugged into the docking station via display port

Any ideas on what I need to do? I'm sure its just me not knowing what I don't know ha ha, thanks for your time!!!

provided your Mac supports multiple external displays,

to support TWO displays on one cable out of a Mac, the PORT, the Cable, and the first device (Dock or Thunderbolt Display) must ALL be genuine Thunderbolt.

USB-C has only half the data pathways as ThunderBolt, and the Mac makes no apologies for NOT supporting two displays on one USB-C cable or Dock.

This could be an issue with the HP Display dock... If you've got 2 USB C port's, you'd could try using a extra HP display dock, then connect the 2nd display on the 2nd HP Display dock. See if its extend the display's, if so.. problem confirmed, ans issue solved.

I'm using 2 Samsung 24" display with USB-C/Display and HDMI.. LS24A600UCUXEN.

Both display are directly connected with my MBPro via USB-C, so 1 port for each monitor and works as extend display.
