How do I overlay images on iphone 15 pro with ios 17.5?

I want to place the subject of a picture into a different background to make a new (single) picture.

How can I set two different kinds of wallpapers on my iPhone 16? For the longest time on my iPhone 13, before iOS 16 came out, I had a photo as my Lock Screen and an iOS 15 dynamic photo as my Home Screen. I’m now trying to set an iOS 18 dynamic photo as my Home Screen and Photo Shuffle as my Lock Screen, but it keeps telling me to either set them as a pair or to use a plain color as my Home Screen. Is there a way to set both of these types of wallpapers at once or has customization actually gone down?

Can iPad have a photo as lock screen wallpaper and Apple wallpaper as home screen wallpaper? On my iPad (iPadOS v18.3.1) if I have a photo for my lock screen wallpaper, the choices for home screen wallpaper are limited to colors, gradients, photos, and blur. The iPadOS 18 wallpapers, for example, are not available as choices. If I choose, “+ Add New Wallpaper” the only choice is to add one of the Apple provided wallpapers as the lock screen wallpaper. In other words, I can have an Apple wallpaper on the lock screen and one of my photos on the home page, but not the other way around. I would like to have the photo on the lock screen and one of Apple’s wallpapers on the home page, but that doesn’t seem to be possible.

How do I set a different photo for my Home Screen on iPhone? How do I set a different photo on my home screen than the one on my Lock screen? I have read a couple of articles that have not been helpful. I have the picture I want in my wallpaper gallery but cannot get it set to appear only on the home screen. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
