I was given the wrong Apple Pencil at the Apple Store

The Apple Store in Canada gave me the Apple Pencil 2nd generation instead of the Apple Pencil Pro. I understand that they could be easily mistaken for each other because of the similarities in price and look. However, I am now back in Fiji and am aware that it is not compatible with my iPad 11” M2.

Apple Pencil 2nd Generation works with your 4th Generation iPad Pro 11” (M2). Your iPad also works Apple Pencil Pro. If it’s not working do as pjswiz suggests and contact Apple Support so it can be replaced.

The Pencil Pro does not work with the M2 iPad Pro 11’ though so the OP needs to verify if they truly have the M2 or the new M4. It works with the iPad Air M2 but not the 11’ iPad Pro M2

I understand that but at this point all you can do is contact Apple to see if you can exchange via mail if you don’t have a store in your home country that can/will exchange it. Also, depends on if you are still in the return/exchange period which is usually 14 days. If you bough both on launch day you may be too late as of today May 28th (or tomorrow the 29th).
