When people send me gifs, some deliver as files and not gifs. If I click it, it shows as an image but doesn’t play. This file type is still displayed as “.gif” in the title but shows as a file with now preview. I restarted my phone and removed/redownloaded the gif feature in the messages menu. until I click. This occurs from both iPhones and texts but usually only over message chats sent via texts.
